Tripoli – Libya announced on Wednesday that it will provide $100m in humanitarian aid to Syrians in a bid to support their battle for “freedom” against the “dictatorial regime” of Bashar Assad.
Libya government spokesperson Mohammed al-Harizi said the opposition Syrian National Council opened a bank account for the funds which will be used to “provide financial support for humanitarian purposes, equivalent to $100m”.
He said Libya backs Syrians in their twin “goals of freedom and getting rid of the dictatorial regime”.
The announcement comes a day after Libyan leader Mustafa Abdel Jalil promised to help Syria with humanitarian aid, noting that “the tragedy of our Syrian brothers surpasses what we saw in Libya”.
Jalil and Harizi made no mention of providing military support for anti-regime fighters in Syria.
Libyans are encouraged to support the relief effort by making donations to aid agencies focused on Syria, including the Libyan Red Crescent, Harizi added.
Mass Tweets are coming in from NATO worshippers who regret supporting the NATO regime. They are in regret mode because the NATO regime in Libya (NTC) is sending millions of dollars to support US Mercenaries in Syria, many NATO worshippers are saying that there hasn’t even been any elections and already billions of dollars are being spent on behalf of the people.
Now they see the devil’s plan, now they start complaining as if their complaints will be heard by the occupying regime.
One NATO Worshipper “FawziaKara” said that “#NTC is stupid. #Fact”, this is a NATO Worshipper who supported the bombardment of Libya, the massacre of Libyans, the destruction of Libya, the invasion of Libya and now he is regretting all of that.
Another NATO Worshipper “Tripolitanian” says that “#NTC has NO RIGHT to donate money on behalf of #Libya, they do not represent Libyans in any way!”. This is yet another NATO Worshipper who supported the war of aggression from the beginning till now, but at least he is starting to see NATO’s plans and plunder of a rich African nation.
